#EUStartupAct: Un’Europa per gli imprenditori entro il 2020

Bruxelles, 10 novembre 2015 – Le Startup in Europa iniziano ad avere un’organizzazione consolidata e attirano sempre di più l’attenzione dei policymakers. Un’attività rilevante è il lancio dell’European Startup Act ad opera dell’European Young Innovators Forum (EYIF)[1]. È una proposta politica dettagliata che ha l’obiettivo di collaborare alla creazione di una struttura efficiente nella quale l’imprenditoria e l’innovazione in Europa possano realizzarsi al massimo delle loro potenzialità.

L’atto propone 5 azioni perseguibili al fine di creare un’Europa per gli imprenditori:

1. Credito accessibile per gli imprenditori
2. Modalità semplificate per creare una startup
3. Scambi imprenditoriali
4. E-Skills accessibili a tutti
5. l’eliminazione di barriere geografiche

L’implementazione di queste azioni rientra in una visione più ampia di un’Europa con più di 10.000 startup, 250.000 posti di lavoro, 2.000 startup in fase di avviamento e 1.000 startup consolidate ogni anno. Ci proponiamo di vedere il 9,5% del PIL totale dell’EU provenire direttamente dalle attività delle startup, tutto ciò entro il 2020.

Queste azioni sono state presentate ai principali policy makers europei: Commissione europea, Consiglio dell’Unione europea e sono sostenute da varie istituzioni nazionali europee. Inoltre, la causa è stata sostenuta da altri enti nazionali come il Fondo d’Investimento estone ed ha ricevuto il sostegno di altre startup europee. L’#EUStartupAct ha ricevuto più di 600.000 impressioni su Twitter. Tutto questo lavoro si concluderà in occasione di un importante evento organizzato dall’EYIF che si terrà al Parlamento europeo il 17 novembre 2015. L’evento inaugurerà il Grow Global Year 2016.

Startups around Europe are starting to organise themselves and actively pursuing the attention of policymakers. One prominent example of these efforts is the launch of the European Startup Act by the European Young Innovators Forum (EYIF)[1]. This is a detailed policy proposal aiming to help build a framework in which European entrepreneurship and innovation can realise its full potential.

The act proposes 5 actionable recommendations on how to create a Europe for entrepreneurs:

1. Accessible Finance for Entrepreneurs
2. Simplified Startup Creation
3. Entrepreneurial Exchange
4. E-Skills for all
5. Geo-Unblocking

The implementation of these recommendations is part of a greater vision for Europe to have more than 10,000 startups, 250,000 start-ups jobs, 2,000 seed stage funded and 1,000 growth stage startups, every year. The goal is for 9.5% of the total EU GDP to come only from startup activity; and all of that to happen by 2020.

These recommendations have been presented to key policy makers in Europe including the European Commission and the Council of the European Union. Furthermore, the cause has already been endorsed by various National institutions, such as the Estonian Development fund, as well as various European startups and the #EUStartupAct has received millions of impressions on social media.

All these efforts are leading up to a flagship event where the European Startup Act will be formally presented at the European Parliament, organised by EYIF for the launch of Grow Global Year 2016 on the 17th of November.
